Attorney Ron Walters Jr. 

Ron has, over the last decade, assisted clients by planning and designing settlements to address future needs and ensure any government benefits are protected. With a rich experience prior to entering practice, Ron’s firm focuses on helping regular people navigate legal issues, including assisting with everything from simple car accidents to bankruptcies, to setting up businesses, criminal issues, and closing loved one’s estates. Prior to establishing law firm and working as an attorney, Ron has, over the last decade, assisted clients by planning and designing settlements to address future needs and ensure any government benefits are protected. He has been involved in settlements involving personal injury, workers’ compensation, and employment-related claims. 

 

Ron’s consulting and legal services also include providing economic expert witness work, reducing future claimed damages to present value, and advising on work-life expectancy. 

Our Approach

Our firm brings a unique perspective and approach to law: after more than a decade of advising clients on financial matters, we decided our firm would focus in areas of financial law. This is why bankruptcy, trusts, and tax law are our major focus areas. Of course, we are happy to discuss and assist you with all your legal needs. We aim to be accessible and able to provide personal attention to every client we work with.

Carrie Webb, Paralegal

Carrie has nearly a decade of experience in the legal field. She oversees, coordinates, and manages the back office for Walters Law Firm. In addition to her role as a paralegal, she oversees the documentation, placement, and purchase of every structured settlement in our office. Carrie has become a subject-matter expert on the appropriate settlement language necessary to properly ensure that the tax-free benefits of the structured settlement are in place in the settlement documents. During her tenure, she has overseen the placement of well over 500 structured settlements. 

  

She specializes in workers compensation and Medicare Set-Asides, having overseen the administration of the settlements of the West Virginia Old Fund and all incoming self-insured workers’ compensation claims utilizing structured settlements. She has also given numerous presentations to and led several training seminars for claims professionals on the structured settlement process. Her knowledge and skill in the prompt and efficient management of the structured settlement process is unrivaled in the industry.
